Welcome to New Food Experience, a remarkable gem hidden in the heart of Rome's Prati district, located on Via Germanico. This restaurant is a haven for food enthusiasts, particularly those following gluten-free and dairy-free diets, offering an extensive menu that effortlessly marries flavor with dietary preferences. As a food reviewer of Grubbio, I can confidently say that this establishment elevates gluten-free dining to an extraordinary level!
What sets New Food Experience apart is its commitment to delivering sumptuous dishes without compromising on taste or quality. Each plate is a celebration of culinary creativity, bringing forth unexpected and delightful flavors that leave a lasting impression. For instance, the Mono Tiramisù, an artisanal take on the classic dessert, is simply divine at €7.00—rich and luscious, yet free from gluten and lactose.
Additionally, the Hummus di Ceci e Sfoglia Croccante is a perfect choice for a wholesome appetizer, priced at just €8.00. It embodies the restaurant's philosophy of health-conscious meals that do not skimp on satisfaction. Coupled with the fresh, gluten-free bread that comes to the table—warm and inviting—it sets a delightful tone for the meal ahead.
For the wine aficionados, New Food Experience presents a carefully curated selection, including the fragrant Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, a robust red wine which pairs beautifully with the dishes offered. The pricing is notable too, making it an accessible delight for both locals and visitors.
Moreover, reviews from customers echo a similar sentiment. One patron, Richard R, proclaimed it the best gluten-free restaurant in Rome, highlighting how the bread alone is worth a visit, while others celebrated the fantastic pasta and vibrant flavors.
In essence, New Food Experience is not just about food; it's about creating a culinary journey that caters to all diners, regardless of their dietary restrictions. Whether you are indulging in their flavorful Carpaccio di Barbabietola or the heavenly Mono Cheesecake Frutti di Bosco, each dish invites you to appreciate the artistry behind gluten-free dining. The warm atmosphere and attentive staff only enhance the overall experience, making it a must-visit destination in Rome. Don't miss out on this vibrant dining scene where every bite tells a story!

Must visit gluten free restaurant when in Rome. The fresh bread was amazing - particularly the focaccia. The fresh pasta was delicious - we tried the tomato and fish and one of the specials which was octopus. We had one secondi to share, a roasted poussin and that was very tender with a really nice herby marinade. My non-gf fiancé was still talking about how good all of the food and especially the pasta was the next day. The wine list was also really reasonably priced. The staff were all very friendly and attentive too. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Rome!

This was one of the best meals we have had in Rome. It is a must go to spot, whether you are gluten free or not. We could not believe the bread plate. That alone is worth a visit. My husband, who is celiac, has not been able to taste bread like that in a long time. Service was wonderful. Flavors are fresh. Restaurant is clean. We hope to visit again.

If you have a gluten free diet, you get used to having to settle for processed, mediocre at best food, and learn to be happy if you just get something safe to eat. This is NOT the case in New Food Experience-restaurant. They serve AMAZING DISHES in a pleasant, stylish restaurant, which is located in the Prati-district close to Lepanto metro station and Cola di Rienzo. A nice area to stay as well, peaceful, safe, central, and with great shopping on Cola di Rienzo and Corso Ottaviano. The front of the house staff is really nice, kind and truly professional- thank you Romano, Mamadu and the entire team, you are wonderful! The restaurant is popular, so reservations are recommended. The serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. At breakfast we loved their suberb pistachio-croissants, filled with really tasty pistachio-cream. Lunch we did not get to try, but at dinner we fell in love with the best fresh pasta I have ever eaten- tagliolini, like a more narrow but thicker tagliatelle. They have a wide selection of dishes on their menu. The food is so excellent, that even non gf eaters are truly happy with the dishes. The whole experience is that of a casual fine dining restaurant. Perfect! At this level, I have not encountered another dedicated gluten free restaurant. I wish they would do a traditional menu as well- fiori di zucca made in the traditional way, ravioli con burro e salvia or panzarotti con salsa di noce…they do serve the traditional pastas cacio e pepe, carbonara and amatriciana, and the recommended truffle pasta, which I have return to Rome for;), as we sadly found the restaurant so late we did not have time to try everything:) New Food also has several bakeries in Rome. In addition to the cakes (Maritozzi, Cannolli…) the bakeries serve pizza al taglio and some packaged lasagna. Prices are really reasonable. Their tiramisu-maritozzi was heavenly! They seem to use fresh, real ingredients, not cheap and processed ones. The taste was entirely different than in the Altre Farine Del Mulino, which did have nice bread though. Viva New Food! Do not miss this!

I couldn’t believe my luck when we stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant right underneath our hotel. Everything on the menu is gluten and lactose free (which, as you can imagine, can be pretty tough to find in Rome!!) The service and atmosphere are great, and they do a delicious traditional lasagna!! Definitely worth a visit :-)

INCREDIBLE In the states, we are constantly trying allergen friendly restaurants; this one far exceeds all of them. 14 different allergens are clearly detailed for each menu item. Even with that, we had questions and concerns. Neither me or my wife could speak any Italian, with this place being a little further out from the touristy areas, we were nervous about communicating. However, our waiter went to extra lengths to confirm ingredients and identify particular dishes that ‘may contain traces of’ an allergen. All the food was amazing, absolutely incredible. When we arrived at open, I’m shocked there was not a line out the door. This place deserves it.
